For the 2013 model year, the Chevrolet Traverse 3rd Row Seating Crossover SUV gets a significant midcycle refresh with a new front and rear end and updated interior.
Up front, the model features a new center grille, bumper, fog lights, hood and slightly reworked fenders. The rear end uses reworked taillamps, a redesigned bumper, a bright bar and license plate cutout in the liftgate.
Chevrolet says that the new Traverse “captures the overall character of Chevy’s new-car lineup.” As far as we’re aware, however, this is one of the first vehicles that doesn’t feature the brand’s signature two-tier grille, which strikes us as odd.
2013 BMW M6 Convertible and BMW X1 SAV to debut

The BMW M6 Convertible and BMW X1 Sport Activity Vehicle will make their World Debuts at the 2012 New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, April 4th at the BMW Stand from 10:15 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (655 West 34th Street at 11th Avenue) in Manhattan.
The BMW M6 Convertible and BMW X1 will be joined by the BMW M6 Coupe, BMW X6 M (North American debuts) and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe (U.S. auto show debut) as the featured BMW vehicles in New York. The BMW i3 and i8 Concepts will also be featured providing a glimpse into the future of mobility.

2012 Infiniti JX Luxury 3rd Row Seating Crossover SUV

Infiniti has announced an all-new three row luxury crossover suv designated the Infiniti JX that will go on sale at its retailers in spring 2012 as a 2013 model.
An exterior sketch of the Infiniti JX suggests a vehicle that pushes the boundaries of what a luxury crossover can be – with signature styling cues of the brand, such as dynamic and elegant line treatments inspired by nature.
The brand styling theme continues with a “crescent cut” greenhouse design influenced by the Infiniti Essence concept car. More details will be provided when the Infiniti JX concept is shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this August. The production version will make its global debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
“The all-new Infiniti JX crossover will allow us to continue to expand the Infiniti brand’s presence in the Americas,” said Carlos Tavares, chairman, Nissan Americas. “In 2010, Infiniti was one of the fastest-growing luxury brands in the United States, and this year we will expand our presence further to Mexico and Panama, followed by Chile in the first half of 2012.”
“There aren’t a lot of choices for luxury families today. Nissan NV200 Fuel-Efficient Minivan: Taxi of Tomorrow

Nissan NV200, a fuel-efficient minivan designed by Nissan North America, was announced to be NYC’s ‘taxi of tomorrow’ earlier this week. The Nissan NV200, is featuring airbags, a transparent roof, built-in GPS navigation and charging stations for mobile devices, as well as a fuel efficiency rating of 25 mpg.
Nissan’s winning design had the highest fuel efficiency of the finalists and it over twice that of the current Ford Crown Victorias used for the city’s taxi fleet.
From 2017, Nissan will also be able to produce an all-electric version of the NV200. In the meantime, the city will start testing six all-electric Nissan Leafs as taxis next year.
The city authorities are now in negotiations with Nissan to produce the first specificially designed taxi for New York for a decade.
“The new taxis will be custom-designed to meet the specific demands of carrying 600,000 passengers a day in New York City traffic and the vehicle meets the top priorities identified by the public,” said Mayor Bloomberg.
New York’s 24/7 cab service currently comprises 33 fleets of more than 3500 of the iconic yellow taxis. The new taxi is likely to be on road in late 2013, as older vehicles are retired out of service.
